Atilio Buriano

A Renaissance Virtuoso artist looking to the future

b. 1943 (Montevideo, Uruguay)

As a serious student of psychology and history, Mr. Buriano joined a religious seminary in Buenos Aires as a young man on track for a career in the ministry. In his avid search for truth, Mr. Buriano discovered painting as the ideal means for expressing his dreams, enmeshed in life and nature itself. He began to study art more formally with Professor Manuel Castilblanco, the start of his endeavor to produce work that strived to translate the raw expression of his true self.

Mr. Buriano also developed as a talented poet and illustrator whose work has appeared in numerous publications, nationally as well as abroad. While mostly residing in Argentina, Mr. Buriano has also spent long periods in Cabo Polonio, Uruguay. Collectors of his unique art are found in Asia, Europe, Israel and the Americas.
